Project Description:
Eckmann and Moses used the curvature analysis, as a test in known biological systems to explore if it gave meaningful results. In C. elegans they plotted the reciprocal connections between neurons in the worm, as shown in the figure.

The height is proportional to curvature. The red nodes are amphid cells, the yellow nodes are other sensory neurons of the head, and blue nodes are motor neurons of the nerve ring. Only co-links are shown, and triangles are enhanced.
