Project Description:
This map is the representation of the Italian wine system in 2005, from production to consumption. The authors focused on the young consumer (18-35yrs.) as they defined relationships between this target and the other hubs of the system, placing all of the actors in a precise position determined by the economical and cultural distance from the target. Another very important variable in this system is the quantity of information carried by each actor, represented by a fading semi-circle that turns darker as the quantity of information becomes more dense. The map also portraits four case studies of regional wines considering the importance of every actor in the distribution of that same wine.
