Project Description:
Kindred Britain is a Stanford digital humanities project that visualizes British culture and history via family ties among its figures. Its customized database of almost 30,000 individuals includes figures of note from prime ministers to petty criminals and misfits. The visualization will display family links between any two people in the database, and the closest links to any particular individual, in addition to biographical tags as to their cultural significance.
