Project Description:
Flora Chan has overlaid a network of thematic and linguistic associations in Brave New World onto the actual text of the novel. Chan's visualization highlights patterns in literary devices and references to themes such as the mind-altering soma, in addition to mapping the complexities between the characters' relationships. Because these connections are viewable all at once in this visualization, it also explores the embeddedness of words in time.
