Project Description:
Ziba, a design consultancy in Portland, polled its staff members to submit the top five designs that changed the way we think about the world. The resulting submissions were then grouped into topical statements about how our world has changed generally, like how "Connectivity is like oxygen". Ziba's unique categories suggest new ways of looking at objects and tools like Powerpoint and Myst, alongside more traditionally recognized innovations like Blogger and the Guangdong Special Economic Zone. The links connect the innovations on the outside of the network to the themes in the middle. Edge weight indicates pivotal events, while dashed lines indicate counter trends.
