Project Description:
Alex Piacentini, Lorenzo Aprigliano, Laura Varisco, Guido Chiefalo, Anchille Calegari visualized the "Reddography", the geography of the discussion about REDD on the web. REDD is the Reducing Emission from Deforestation and forest Degradation program. Datasets were specifically constructed and scraped for the purposes of the research inquiry. In this visualization, they combine analysis of which countries and programs are the donors and receivers, mapping the links and quantitities of funding between these entities. Donor relationships are encoded in blue, while receiving relationships are encoded in red.
