Project Description:
NetGestalt is an application that integrates multidimensional -omics (genomics or other biological information networks) data, achieving high scalability by exploiting the inherent structure of biological networks. Node-link diagrams typically become more and more confusing in size as network complexity increases; instead, NetGestalt places the nodes of anetwork along a horizontal dimension of a view, based on the hiearchical architecture of the network, conveying functional relationships while utilizing the hierarchical structure of the data as an organizing motif.
