As Ian Hughes reports on eightbar.co.uk - an unofficial blog by a group of IBM employees with a strong interest on Second Life (SL) - his friend Turner Boehm went straight into modeling and scripting as soon as he joined SL. Apart from other endeavors in SL, Turner Boehm has developed a new in-world Second Life application, that automatically models the links and nodes of a complex system using SL objects.

The images shown here show multiple interconnecting software systems represented by an automatically generated set of prims, based on information stored outside SL. In full mode the model is able to be manipulated in real-time. The elements and linkages have text associated with them to indicate the nodes and links in the model. And the application is quite scaleable, by supporting 15000+ nodes and links.
