Project Description:
The authors describe Immersion as "an invitation to dive into the history of your email life in a platform that offers you the safety of knowing that you can always delete your data." It provides users with different perspectives on their email data, for self-reflection on a ubiquitous and invisible form of social communication. It explores the four topics of self-reflection, art, privacy, and strategy, representing nodes as people commonly communicated with and representing how the structure of that network changes over time.
