Project Description:
This interactive visualization, by Christian Gross, depicts the connection between where meteorites have been found and who has been interested in doing research on them. The visualization can be toggled by time as well, to see the state of research on meteorites up until a certain time. The visualization is organized in two horizontal streams, counting the number of meteorites found in each country, breaking them down by type, and also considering how many researchers from that country have analyzed how many meteorites. The size of the meteorite counts is displayed by the size of the circle, which the user may roll over to isolate the information for that specific country.
