Project Description:
Conversations on Twitter are structured as people reply to each other and mention each other in their tweets. Structures observed include divided, unified, fragmented, clustered, inward and outward hub and spoke structures. For example, political conversations look like two separate, polarized groups. The Pew Research Center analyzed many thousands of Twitter maps and found six different conversational "archetypical" structures on Twitter: polarized, tight, communiy clusters, broadcast network, and support network structures. They used NOdeXL to collect data nd generate network visualization maps.
