Project Description:
Christopher Warnow created this detailed visualization detailing the decisions, events, people, and institutions most directly involved in the Greek debt crisis, ironically organized through the lens of those who attended the ceremony awarding Greek prime minister Lucas Papademos for his contribution to the national economy of Greece in 2013. Edges represent connections between entities, and are labeled with information about the specific relationships. On the outside of the central ceremony, actors are organized by their participation in the international lobby area, attendance at Bilderberg meetings, London-Greece lobby area, or general European Government Area. The visualization illustrates the unique possibilities of how the choice of organizing network visualizations can illustrate complex webs of causality and action.
